Whether you would like a pint of real ale in a country pub, a light lunch or a
choice from our extensive range of daily specials.
How to find us in Cudham, Kent.
The "Blacksmith's Arms" was built during the reign of Charles I (1625 - 1649) in
the year 1628. The property at this stage is described as a farm dwelling with
stables.
The "Blacksmith's Arms" has seen and undergone many changes since it was first
built, but its historic atmosphere and character remains unchanged. So come and
enjoy the fayre and reflect on those bygone days.
We are a family pub situated at the top of a beautiful glacial valley within the North Downs, near one of the highest points in Kent. While the countryside around us is listed as "an area of outstanding natural beauty" we are sure that during the summer months you will find our very large garden equally as pleasing. We have won various awards including "Best pub Garden" in Bromley borough three times. We also have a an excellent covered smoking area with a wood burning stove.
We specialise in fish dishes and always have a large choice on our specials menu throughout the week. During the summer months we provide our kitchen whenever possible with our own home grown vegetables and herbs as we are both very keen horticulturists.
There is a large recreation ground with play facilities to the rear of us and a lovely Norman Church next door. There is direct access to both of these through our car park. Cricket is usually played throughout the summer months on Sundays.
We like to pride ourselves on the fact we are an old English country pub, with a robust atmosphere, that has an excellent food menu (not a restaurant just selling drink).
Whether you would like a pint of real ale, a light lunch or a choice from our extensive range of daily specials we would welcome your custom.
